Julie Nicol (Lisburn Legends)

Julie Nicol, currently playing for Lisburn Legends. Julie grew up playing badminton from a young age, but she then tried pickleball about 7 years ago and immediately became hooked. She won the 1st Irish Open ladies doubles tournament held in 2017 and again in 2019. She has played in several fiestas and recently reached the quarter finals in the advanced mixed doubles at Irish Nationals with her partner and fellow team mate Simon. Julie, aka ‘Jules’ embodied the team name, both on and off the court she is a legend. She plays the game with style, deftness of touch and bravery at the NVZ. Throw in her badminton overheads – she is a brilliant all rounder.
