2 LEAGUES - ONE CHAMPION
For the inaugural 2024 season, Emerald Isle Pickleball League is launching with 2 regional leagues – the Northern league & the Southern league. Each regional league will showcase seven unique co-ed teams of four made up of two men and two women respectively.
The creation of the Emerald Isle Pickleball League will ensure the highest caliber of competition while providing a pathway and opportunities for the next generation of pickleball stars to break through.
Each Regional league will crown a winner who takes first place, but it will the top two teams from each region who move forward to compete in a round robin event for the ultimate prize…the first ever winner of the Emerald Isle Pickleball League!!
The Northern Region is home to 28 players – some of the most in-demand team players in Northern Ireland. Players with a dizzying track record of bombastic wins on the court and a DUPR Rating to match. These seven coveted co-ed teams of four represent the gold standard for the sport and the pinnacle of competition in Northern Ireland. And while for these players it’s hard-fought to get here, it’s even harder fought to stay with the next crop of competitors readying their skills and looking to take their place!
The Southern Region is home to pickleball’s top players in the region – who get the chance to light up the courts and crush all expectations as they compete within this division of seven teams. For some, this is their first chance to compete on the big stage while for other seasoned courtside competitors this is their runway to level up beforehand the National competition in April 2024. For the pickleball diehards, this is an opportunity to thrill in the crazy world of pickleball and witness legends in the making!
